چکیده

The aim of the experiment was to assess content N-corrected apparent metabolisable energy (AMEn) in dried Sea buckthorn berries (SB) when fed Ross 308 broiler chickens. Two experimental diets (basal and basal + 12 g/kg milled SB berries) were an equal number replicated pens (n=8; two birds each) from 7 21d age, following randomisation. diet formulated meet breeder’s recommendations. inclusion at diet, did not significantly (P>0.05) affect chicken growth performance, dietary nutrient availability or AMEn. Using substitution method, it found that AMEn 14.29 MJ/kg DM. Although relatively high AMEn, absence starch berries, suggests are a suitable substitute for cereals poultry diets, but further research on their health benefits as minor supplement is warranted.
